SUPERVISION

I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor (Groups) specialising in Person Centred Supervision. I trained as a Supervisor because I enjoy and value the supervisory process. Both as a Counsellor and Supervisor I continually learn about myself in supervision and how I relate to clients and supervisees and as a result I take a more congruent and accepting me into my practice.

I see the Supervisor/Supervisee relationship as a working alliance achieved through mutual trust and respect being a balance of challenge and support. I aim to create with you an atmosphere in which you feel safe and able to explore any challenges in your counselling work as well as to celebrate your achievements to further develop your confidence and creativity in your practice. Why not book an initial free session so that you can explain what you want and need from supervision and I can explain in greater depth how I work and see the supervisory process.

I provide both one-to-one and group supervision. I am on the Metanoia Institute's list of approved Supervisors. I offer a preferential rate for individuals participating in group supervision. Please see the Administration section for details.

As a Registered and Accredited Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) I am bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. You can find my entry on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists at www.bacpregister.org.uk.

As required by BACP, I carry Professional Liability Insurance, attend monthly supervision of my supervision work and undertake further professional training each year.
